Antique Limiges seving bowl, soup or casserole, with cover, in excellent condition. Mark predates 1941. From the Limoges area in France well known for being one of the mist highest quality of China manufacturing centers in the world. My research tells me it dates from 1941, if not prior and is one of the many patterns designed by Charles Field Haviland. The Haviland Compny has produced over 60,000 patterns dating to the early to mid 1800s. This rare piece features a rose and leaves. It is trimmed in gold. I did extensive research and could only find one dinner plate in this particular pattern and they did not have a name for the pattern, only that it is one of his patterns. Some sets in the Haviland line sell for thousands of dollars. I am proud to be able to bring you this beautiful pi.ece
