Vintage Design
This is a rare piece, a 18th Century Corner Cupboard made in English cherry wood, much darker than the better known continental cherry wood The cupboard has a 2 panelled doors with blacksmith made H hinges enclosing 3 shaped corner shelves, and a few old cup hanging hooks There are signs of woodworm in the pine back of the cupboard, and there is a much larger hole left by an unwelcome visitor ( this has been covered with a matching panel and cannot seen from the inside), all this is common enough in such an old piece that would have hung on a wooden wall, however none of this has effected the show wood on the front The woodworm is long dead and has been given follow up treatment to be on the safe side The cupboard is 44” high, and 29” wide the sides are about 20” long and the back to front measurement is approximately 17”
