19th Century Burr Walnut Pedestal Desk by Gillow & Co

This is a superb antique Victorian burr walnut pedestal desk, by the world renowned cabinet maker, Gillow & Co, Circa 1880 in date. It is made from fabulous burr walnut, which has a the rectangular top inset with a fabulous green and gold tooled leather writing surface, the top features an elegant ogee moulded edge and the right hand frieze drawer bears the Gillows impressed stamp and the serial number 14102. It has an arrangement of nine graduated drawers with turned walnut handles and it stands on a plinth base. Instill the elegance of a bygone era to a special place in your home with this fabulous antique desk. with original working locks and key. Condition: In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished and waxed in our workshops.
