We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning original 1738 dated Antique German Marriage wardrobe / Folded linen. The piece comes complete with the original lock and key which are fully functional. This one is dated to the top 1738, I’m not sure if thats the real original date, it could be later as they were making these wardrobes up until the end of the 19th century, the paint certainly looks old enough to be from the early 18th century! Inside you have shelves for folded linens Condition wise this wardrobe has all the original paint and finish, there will be age and use related patina marks as you would expect, all of which add to the honesty, charm and charisma of the wardrobe Dimensions Height:- 178.5cm Width:- 125.5cm Depth:- 52cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
