Authentic, preowned, vintage Bonnie Cashin for Sills lilac purple suede tunic dress or tabard, likely made in the 60s. Originally sold by Saks 5th Avenue, where it retailed for $100 (which is now worth $1010 in todays dollars!!) Made from a a gorgeous violet or lilac suede leather, it fastens at each side with a gold metal buckle and strap! Bonnie Cashin essentially invented the term “layering”, and this piece is a great example of her sportswear!
Wear it over a knit dress, or with jeans and a cami underneath! So may ways to style! True vintage & mod, own and wear a fascinating piece of history!
Made in the USA. Unlined. Leather clean only. Slips over head like a sandwich board and fastens under each arm with a strap and buckle.
No size tag, firs like a modern S/M. Approximate measurements, taken flat and doubled where appropriate: bust – 36in, waist – 33in, hips – 38in, shoulder to hem length – 31in.
