Vintage Design
Unusually elegant and extremely rare sofa, from the 400 series by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Wilkhahn, Germany. One of the most elegant designs from the German Mid Century Modern, here in a version made of dark African teak wood, a backrest with a braid made of peddig tube and light gray bouclé fabric from the Danish premium manufacturer Kvadrat (Kvadrat Sahco).
The sofa was newly padded and moved into. The braid is in very nice original condition with a few small repairs. The wooden parts are stable and have only a few traces in the form of small scratches and verses that do not affect the high -quality character of the furniture.
