Vintage Design
Based on a design by the Austrian Bruno Weill (aka BEWE), director of Thonet France in Paris, Thonet first published the B 282 model in 1930. In 1935, Bruno Weill even produced a convertible desk model with up to 14 different setups to meet the needs of the user to fulfill as well as possible. Our B 282 model looks very elegant and is based on the French Art Deco style of the time in terms of the asymmetrical division and the plate inserted into the top of the tubes. Overall, the furniture has been well preserved, the wood structure is clearly visible under the matt black finish.
slight traces of wear. The drawers are not painted on the inside and have the correct finish, galvanized joints in solid wood. The correct age patina is clearly visible, with full functionality and no structural damage. The old keys of the 3 drawers are available and included. The chrome plating of the steel tubes shows age patina, especially in the area of the cross tube on the floor. Otherwise the furniture is in very good condition.
