Vintage Design
Beautiful wooden Japanese cabinet (tansu) from the Meiji era. This decorative piece of furniture features two storage compartments with sliding doors and has five drawers at the bottom.
All of this is nicely finished with metal hardware. The cabinet is in good condition with lovely signs of aging. For example, like many Japanese furniture pieces, there are ink stains on the inside. The top of this tansu is covered with paper featuring Japanese calligraphy. A piece of furniture with a story, a piece of history that brings Japan a bit closer!
